Project Life: Week 18 (6/5-6/11)

Week 18 and I’m still here! Whew, well as you can tell I’ve gotten quite a bit behind, but that’s only on the blogging part. I still am totally in love with my Project Life. It’s keeping me centered in the everyday and is definitely taking care of the urge to scrapbook. (Possibly a little bit too much as I haven’t really done much other scrapbooking). But I’m ok with that for now.

  • Empty laundry baskets equal laundry done! :-)
  • (19) Anniversary wishes & breakfast in bed
  • Wishing my sneakers could provide motivation
  • The puppy love continues
  • Yummy lunch at Katherine’s
  • More puppy love

We enjoyed dinner together at Pancho Villas to celebrate the many awards both kids received. A’s & B’s all around! Go Bryce & Summer. We are so proud of both of you! Love Mommy & Daddy

So proud of our creative little girl for getting the Art Award for the second year in a row!

Fun times on our progressive playdate with Ben & Alex. We went from the bouncy house, to the McDonald’s playland, wandered around Michael’s craft store for a bit and then back to our house to let the fun continue for the kids and the adults!

As you can see, I still keep my supplies at the ready right on my desk and that is helping me keep up.

School’s out for summer – yippee! Let the fun begin :-)

Saturday morning lovin'

Ok folks, now get your mind out of the gutter… Weekends for us are all about being together which usually involves all 2 and 4 legged mammals living in our home. This is the proof of a very happy girl getting happily slobbered this very morning. I’m sure you can tell just by the look on her face that she absolutely adores this little fuzzy dog of ours. Rightly so, because this little pup is quite the love of the house.

Lady is being sure to be thorough and get every single part of Summer’s face nice and slobbery.

This is one pup loving kid and one kid loving pup. What could be better than this to wake up to on a Saturday morning? Unless you are referring to the fresh pot of coffee one wonderful husband brewed and brought to my bedside. Yep, a good Saturday morning indeed!

The Sweetness of Snuggling

This morning, like many recent mornings because of the excess of snow and lack of school, I had the distinct pleasure of snuggling with my two favorite little 'ladies'. My DD is 7 and our DP {Darling Puppy, named Lady btw} is 21 pounds of snuggly, licky fun. She is a dachshund-beagle mix and has snuggled and licked her way into our hearts ever since we rescued her just 5 short months ago. I just had to mention how lucky I am to be married to a man who is willing to work two jobs in order for me to have the maximum amount of time with my kids during these formative years.  I am one lucky girl! To top it off, during above mentioned snuggling, my DD looks at me and says "I'm so lucky that God picked you to be my Mom". So, in true Mom fashion, I nuzzle my nose into her baby shampoo smelling hair and cry tears of joy. It is certainly a good day to be me.
